Mogadishu, Somalia (Onkod Radio) The President of the Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has invited the Future Council to attend a meeting scheduled for 10 May 2026.

The invitation follows recent consultations with politicians, former leaders, traditional elders, and representatives from different sectors of society. The meeting will focus on national priorities, including elections, state-building, national unity, and the country’s political future.

The presidency stated that the discussions are intended to take place in an open and responsible manner to address key national issues.

The Federal Government of Somalia said it remains committed to strengthening a political system based on unity, consensus, and the protection of Somalia’s sovereignty and independence.
