The Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, together with the President of Somali National University, Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Mohamed, and the CEO of Hormuud Salaam Foundation, Mr. Abdullahi Nur Osman, has officially inaugurated the ICT Laboratory at the Gaheyr campus of Somali National University.
The facility, donated and fully equipped by Hormuud Salaam Foundation HSF, includes 34 computers, interactive touchscreen boards, speakers, and other essential tools for ICT-based instruction and training. It is expected to strengthen teaching and learning processes while enhancing engagement between students and lecturers.
The Minister of Education and the University President commended Hormuud Salaam Foundation for its contribution, noting that the laboratory will play an important role in advancing modern education in Somalia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Abdullahi Nur Osman stated that the initiative is part of HSF’s continued commitment to supporting education and expanding access to digital learning opportunities for Somali youth.
